Now Billy Birmingham might strike a cord with several Aussie forummers, he has something to do with 12th man, an Australian comedy on cricket. Interesting.

Eric Bana was quite a good comedian before he went into dramatic acting. All of his characters on Full Frontal were hilarious, his stand-up comedy wasn't bad either. He had his own show for a while, called "Bana" which didnt really work, but we cant all be Dave Letterman.

As for the funniest person in Australia, I dont really know of anyone who is head and shoulders above the rest. We dont have any Billy Connollys.

Crackerjack is the best Aussie comedy written though. Smile

I liked the Paul Hogan Show when I was little.

Sorry to say this, but I thought Steve Irwin was really funny.

Andrew Denton is probably the funniet person in Australia.

He doesn't do much comedy these days though, prefering to concentrate on his more serious interview show.

Australia did once have someone who was head and shoulders above the rest. It was Graham Kennedy then daylight.

Cheers.

I think Rolf Harris was last spotted in Australia 15 years ago on Andrew Denton's show doing a cover of 'Stairway to Heaven' on the wobble board.

I must say, that is one of the funniest things I think I've ever seen.

Cheers.

Ross (?) - a frequent guest on Spicks and Specks - is up there.

Grahame Bond. Gary McDonald, when he's not in deep depression.
