I think Australia have been very nicely replaced for a youinger side, they lose a legend of a spinner and pick up a chinaman one of the same type of spin, who i think is safe to say can be a very usful player for the aussies with both bat and ball on his day, as for glen mcgrath, stuart clark is already more then half way to reaplacing him, brett lee may be on fire now and may be the spear head of the attack but stuart clark is the man who has replaced mcgrath with terrific efficientcy, and then there is jhonson who i first saw bowl against england in there odi series following the previous ashes series, he appeared to be ntohing muich at all there but has nicely cemmented his place i think, he is almost constatly around the 140 k's mark, has swing, is left handed and can keep even the best of them on thier toes, in short i dont think this aussie side has to worry about its top spot in the rankings until the time comes when many batsmen will be happy to see the backs of gilchrist and hayden from the opening slots and eventually, even the fantastic MR CRICKEt, hussey will go as he is getting on a bit, and then of course ponting and symonds, it is a great side right now but in a few years i reckon that they might not last, and that number one may drop a few, it would be intresting to see how umpiring goes to them when they no longer have this gods of the game status that they currently almost have.
