Tom Hayward, Boycott and Arthur Shrewsbury are the glaring ommisions from this list.
Stewart definitely not. Duleepsinhji's career was cut short before he realised his potential and shouldn't be in there. Leyland's desperate weakness against pace probably pushes him out of the reckoning too.

This is a massive undretaking, and there are nowhere near as many guaranteed names on the list as people would perhaps assume:
Hutton, Sutcliffe, Hobbs, Boycott, Hammond, Compton, Barrington, May and perhaps Cowdrey.

Surely there must be some argument for Amiss or Jardine to be contenders to sneak onto the list with some of the names being mentioned?
