5-0 is in some ways better than 4-1. Had England won the last test, there would inevitably have been some relief and it might have detracted from their poor performance in this series. There is no hiding from a whitewash and no doubt a thorough post-mortem will be required (akin to Aus post-Ashes 2005).

This series positively confirmed for me that Pietersen, Mahmood, and Harmison are highly . I still have my suspicions about Panesar.
