Better at cricket.? I do not like these comparisons between players of different era's. The only thing I might say is that I know Viv was a vastly better fielder than Stan if you are working on a fair assumption of a general allround cricketer.

McCabe was one of the best and most versatile fielders of his day, both in the slips and further out.
Almost certainly not as good as Viv, but certainly no slouch.
