Ok....lets get started

As always India's hopes rest with the middle order.....bat first....make 500+....and win comfortably

Will not happen though will it?

My Prediction:

Eng to win 2-0

and

KP to gorge on the worst bowling attack to reach these shores

KP will have a good series as he prefers Asian fast bowlers to the likes of Aus/SA.

I think India will surprise everyone by drawing the series 1-1.

Well we've warmed Tendulkar up 'nicely' and done Rashid no favours exposing him to the strong Indian line-up. I reckon we'll start the series well but if we don't get a second win we'll end up drawing as is too often the case. I don't rate their bowling but if they put enough runs on the board England can collapse, without a key bowler like Flintoff our side may not be sufficiently better than their's bowling and their batting is probably more dependable.

If the conditions favour us then we may get enough advantage.

Probably? The Little Totford Girls' Primary School third XI is less likely to collapse than England at the moment.

Be interesting to see how Tremlett and Broad do. My guess is they'll be better than Saj and Plunkett

Not that there will actually be any play today anyway Frown

Eng off to a hurricane start, courtesy some of the most wayward and gutless bowling ever seen in test cricket.

Zaheeya Khan and Sreesanth aren't up to scratch. Maybe nerves.

BTW, it is pronounced as Zahee-r Khan and not Zahiya.

England treating this like a OD, 62 in the 11th over. Nice weather for cricket - so far.

I doubt it can be an issue or he would not have made selection. Did he start his professional life as a batsman?

Apparently he started off as a batter but when he grew taller...he became a fast bowler.

Bucknor doesn't get many wrong but he did there. That was missing. Didn't even look close.
