Yesterday there was a link to a picture of someone feeling around Murali's boom boom. And then we saw Yousuf bowled in the gangoolies as well. What is it with these players at the ICCCT? Something to do with lost asses... erm, assets? Someone should get to the bottom of it!

In the same 24 games he's taken 28 wkts @ 27.85 with an eco of 4.4 making him the most successful Pak ODI bowler and one of the best ODI spinners in the world (second after Murali I think).

So do you drop your best bowler because he can't hold a bat for toffee?

I was about to mention just that! He's in the team more for his bowling than batting.

Now let's play cricket......

i think he is far more dangerous batting at number 8 given than theres only about 10 or 15 overs to go with wickets in hand! in recent matches he hasnt had that sort of situation created by the top order

Murali isn't the best ODI spinner any more. Checked his ODI stats of late?

I did look at his career performances and he averages 23 with bat and 36 with ball. With Razzaq and Malik both having better batting and bowling averages the only question was should Pakistan play a proper spinner? I looked at Kaneria and a few other candidates but their records were worse, Kaneria's something like 12 wickets @ 49

"So do you drop your best bowler because he can't hold a bat for toffee?"

Did I say drop him?!?!?! I was merely pointing out how poor his batting has been and the joke that is his nickname.

9 wickets in the ICCT in 6 matches isn't the worst record albeit 3 matches were against Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Windies

ODI cricket is not just about batting and bowling averages, it's also about SR and economy rate. We all know about Afridi's 107+ SR but what most people don’t realize is how good his ER has been over the past 3 years.

All things being equal, Afridi is probably one of the dumbest dumbasses in the history of dumb people.

I would look at Harbhajan and Vettori before making these judgements.

I would also look at how many overs Afridi's bowled in the those 24 games.

Harbhajan has 28 wickets in his last 22 games at 26.89 at 3.78

Besides, Afridi never has the responsibility that Harbhajan has - Afridi has bowled 157 overs in his last 24 games (out of a possible 240), which means the his average spell is about 6.5 overs per inning.

I also dont know where you got those stats for - in his last 24 ODI games Afridi has 21 wickets at 33.76, with an econ of 4.51.

Harbhajan Singh has bowled 199 overs in his last 22 games. Whats more, hes average 15 with the bat, to Afridis 9.8.

H Singh in the last 24 games has picked 29 wickets at 28.72.
