Or the other alternative is have Bell in for Plunkett. Gives them and extra batsmen a less longer tail. With that alternative depending on if Flintoff is fit then you would have 3 pacemen and a spin bowler. Plus the PT off-spin of Peiterson and the PT medium pace of Bell or Collingwood.

A fan of Mike Walker!!!!!

If Flinchucker plays then Clutchen wont be the skipper ...

...and you'd be crazy to have only 4 bowlers and some part timers with Fred returning from injury

Bad luck for Terror but there isnt a spot for him

Big Grin No man it's a genuine opinion! Both Cook and Bell are good young players but Bell has really done well against PAK while Cook's century was very shaky.

Trescothick
Cook
Strauss
Pietersen
Collingwood
Flintoff
Jones
Panesar
Harmison
Mahmood
Hoggard

Plunkett should practice his bowling with Durham, not in the middle of a Test match.

Plunkett must go back to FCC and learn to pitch every ball on the cut strip. It was appalling watching him in this test.....

4 bowlers + Pieterson, with Fred at 7 and Jones at 8.....

D'ya think Giles is available? He should replace Monty. He's second only to Warne on my last memory.

The wheelie bin.... should stay confined to FCC cricket for ever more now...

Let a real spinner play for England, not a medium pacer down on pace!

But....don't you think he'd have bowled Pak out single-handedly?

of course, in the same way that vaughan would have had a flyslip and got all the pakistani middle order....

and if Chris Read had been playing, well, he'd have played a part in all 10 dismissals, as well as scoring a double hundred in 70 balls

I personally don't see the point of playing a fifth bowler if he's absolute s%$t. Why not play the extra batsman and accomodate Chris Read at 8?

Charles, that would be a bonus - I think England is just looking for someone who can catch, and average above the mid-20's with the bat.
