12 consecutive Test wins. Is the record in danger? If the Zimmer series goes ahead, quite possibly.

"Cameron Leon White (b. August 18, 1983 in Bairnsdale, Victoria) is an Australian cricketer, and can hit a ball further than any man in the world. His six hitting has left the laws of science in tatters, with his biggest ever six, at Somerset's ground, Taunton, measuring a staggering 914 metres from the bat to the landing point." - Wikipedia

if it doesnt, as seems likely, their 15th test (assuming they beat SL at home) will be against india - who halted the last run

I think winning both SL tests is a little doubtful, and 3 consecutive wins against India is very unlikely.

I would be happy with any series wins next summer.

We won't be blowing teams away any more so if we win thats more than enough.

Yep, expect lots of draws and tight series.

At least when we do win people won't be able to say:

'your whole team is over 35'

'you're nothing without mcgrath/warne'

Australia still have the best batting line up in the world. They won in SA without McGrath (mainly due to Clark), so much will depend on how they cope without Warne, and whether Clark is the real deal.

I thought Clark might be found out on flatter pitches against decent batting but was completely wrong... the way he's bowled, he's looked the real deal to me.

I think we will feel the loss of warne a lot more overseas than at home.

Most of the top 4/5 teams are solid at home it's the aussies away record that made them an all time great team and i think it will take the biggest hit without warne in the side.

Australia also has a run of 18 tests without defeat.

West Indies had 27 between 1982 & 1984
England had 26 between 1968 & 1971
Australia had 25 between 1946 & 1951
