I now rate Punter on top due to that amazing run out he did in the recent Ashes from close in fielding.
Ponting
Richards V
Rhodes
Taylor
Symmonds
Surely Roger Harper and Mark Waugh merit a mention.
To me, Colin Bland and Jonty Rhodes would both come in the top 2...

Probably should be separate top 5s for slip fielding and fielding.
That I've seen:
Dad said to me that Viv Richards was a demon aiming at one stump. The best. There were none better than mark Taylor at first slip and to me that IS a fielding position and Jonty was possibly the quickest off the mark next to Symmonds.
