Decent-ish frontman, a dog of a commentator

He's not the most knowledgeable about cricket...and he seems to hate Glamorgan with a passion.
Good presenter though. I remember him hanging out of trees during the England tour to Windies in 94.

Some people deride C.C. because he has not played F/C cricket - some of his co-commentatorsa certainly do.
But the man is an experienced broadcaster/journalist - he is very good at eliciting opinions from his co-commentator - because he plays up to his lack of experience at F/C level.
Pity that we have to endure Ian Ward's "insights" - he could not lick Colvilles's boots

Rather Ian Ward than Nick Knight though, eh? Even allowing for the fact all those splinters he gets from sitting on the fence must be giving him some right jip. He's not very good is he?
---------------------------------------------- Please, ANYONE but Mourhino or Cap... oh bugger!

I quite like Nick Knight as a possible commentator.
As a pundit, he is very much splinter in the backside material.

Nick Kinght is a nice chap but is allowed to have a go, its part of the job. No need to emulate Sir Geoff ItsRubbishIsThat Boycott or Bob theAxeMan Willis. The boy David getssome digs in,in a diplomatic, genteel way. Nick Knit has only had a gojury prone Tremlett for not being macho and aggresive. Bit like you then mate!
