It's a shame either of them had to be exposed at this level, at this stage (or in Tait's case - ever).
The reality with Mahmood is that he has pace but other than that is not a quality bowler and never will be. Poms can delude themselves all they like but I don't blame Freddie one bit for not over using the supermarket stacker(Mahmood) If I was a betting man I would back James Anderson ahead of Mahmood for the future and even that is long odds. Comparing Tait to Mahmood really is a futile exercise. Whereas England are scraping the bottom of the barrel and had to give Mahmood a go for the Ashes series, Australia has a number of bowlers that have been impressive and seem to have put themselves ahead of Tait in the pecking order as far as getting an opportunity to play Test cricket is concerned.

How so?
Mahmood isn't ready for Tests, but has played, and been found wanting.
Tait wasn't ready for Tests, but played, and was found wanting.
IMO Mahmood at least has some technical ability and therefore some future. Tait is absolute monodimensional garbage.
The 'Mahmood is better than Tait' statement was also intended to contrast starkly with 'L v T' comparisons made here previously. At least this time we're comparing crap with crap.
