Plunkett bowled badly in tests 1, 2 and 3 but was the best bowler in the country in the early season. His first game back for Durham he puts in a Bothamesque performance.
He seems to be losing his place due to batsmen such as Atherton saying that chest-on actions are fundamentally flawed and he needs to learn how to bowl again. McGrath was known for his accuracy and had a chest-on action of course.
He needs a bit of patience from the selectors and I think he'll come good.

Hmm. I do hope this is a windup? Otherwise what a pile of turd.
He was god-awful, and thats being polite to the boy. As for a game whereby 17 wickets fell for 140 runs, you would assume the pitch wasn't the best, so its hardly an achievement is it?
He needs to bowl and bowl and bowl in County cricket for a prolonged period of time.
That means nowhere near a test/OD cap for a long spell.
I'm deadly serious. He'll get better quickest playing at the top level and working with the new England bowling coach Alan Donald.
What is the point of having Harmison, Flintoff, Hoggard and Sidebottom all around the same age suddenly retire after the next Ashes series? Besides against the top class batsmen in non-swinging conditions I doubt if Hoggard and Sidebottom are quick enough. Remember how hard it was for us to get Chanderpaul out?
We need to bring on these youngsters or we won't become a better side than Australia.

Are you Mad?
I have seen no improvement from him at the highest level. He can work on his technique in County Cricket as opposed to the test arena where he looks below par in quality.
Hoggard is effective anywhere he goes, his record shows that.
WE bring on the youngsters by working with them in improving their games in the county arena, not in the test arena. What is it some sort of kindergarden?
Until he can find an action he's comfortable with and not looking like a spaz walking back to his mark after shoving one down legs side, he needs coaching at county level.
Whether Geoff Cook, who admitted after Harmy returned from Aus that they hadn't done any work on his action - is the man to be doing it is another matter entirely.
