If England can amass a score of say 250 by late day 4/ whole of day 5...i have to think that Monty will bowl through 2 sessions, the ball has to be turning by then and if the suns out the footholes and cracks will largen given monty extra grip and spit of the pitch. Lets hope Monty gets a few wickets second time round.
A Little Hard Work never killed anyone....but why take the chance?
The Barmy Army has just left the MCG late on what was scheduled to be the fifth day of the fourth Ashes test.
After not watching any of the actual cricket over three days of play, and not having the courtesy to shut up even while the after match presentations were going on, MCG officials took the unporecendented step of deciding not to chuck them out of the ground, and instead started serving them all the dregs of beer mopped up from the various bars and concourses around the ground from the preceding days.
None of the Army even noticed, and they just kept their brain-dead, repetetive chanting going all night, though the next day, and on for another 24 hours.
It was only six hours after the beer dregs had run out, during which time the Army had been served urinal cakes soaking in mop buckets, that one of them suddenly exclaimed, 'bugger, the games over lads' and they started to stagger out of the ground.
