I give him credit for trying again. We both tried to be nice to one who was whingeing like a stuck record on Day 2 of the G Test. He just wouldn't accept it.

In the end we gave up and went back to poking him with a stick. It was much more fun.

I bet in the next Ashes series Aussies will be begging to reduce it to two test series after getting a 5-0 pummeling!

Slightly different, filo - Aussies go to England for a few years purely and simply to earn 'good English money' to fund their European vacations, then they come back home.

However, even that 'good money' can't entice the English who come here, originally for a holiday, to go back home to stay!

Net migration is heavily in one direction. England's a fine place to visit, but ...

Fixed.
Waiters wages are pretty good... as are that for stable hands.
Strange thing lardy is that the majority of them DO stay that extra year rather than buzz off to Europe!

England must be a fine place to visit , but ....

It's a great place to live, despite the weather. (you can go abroad for that).

That's right lardbucket. At least the Aussies who go overseas for their gap years actually work... so many of the Brits and Kiwis who swarm over here simply take advantage of this great country's prosperity by scamming the dole or some kind of pension, disability or otherwise. And then they whinge non stop about the nation that supports them Eek

Still, we smash you farking good didn't we? Eh? Hmmm?

The slogan for this Ashes was 'It's Definitely On'. The ECB should be sued for failing to field a team.

Our population is going up quite quickly. Having just about the strongest economy in Europe means the Poles, Czechs, Lithuanians etc. are flooding over here.

Apparently Australia suffers from something of a braindrain as well, due to lack of government funding of scientific research and academia in general.
