I honestly dont see how u'r implication that our captain, Vice-captain, coach, physio, selction panel and our senior most Player being corrupt amounts to supporting.

uhm..mready, kumble is our senior most player..well in tests atleast.

This last statement of mine is probably the most relevant and important statement made in this entire thread. There is really no point to this thread.

Regardless of how many times we tell Josh, he just doesn't give up on degrading sachin. What you got against him man?

We all know there is some sort of politics in BCCI..and there is some sort of politics in every committee, every board, and every association. I would like you to prove me wrong, if you can. But, Josh, that doesn't mean that everything that committee or board or association does is influenced by corruption..and politics.

For the nth time, Josh..please leave Sachin be.

GO INDIA!

If you think there is no point to the thread then not sure why are worried about it.

Long time forummers here will know that I have been arguing and savagely critical about BCCI politics, power plays, financial irregularities, Commercial interests in Indian Cricket etc. for as long as I have been here. It just happens that Sachin happens to be in this one.

Why doesn't somebody defend BCCI who is to blame more than anybody in this saga and instead get all touchy about Sachin ?

Theres no point in blaming anybody, because nothing much has happened.

Sachin Tendulkar was supposed to undergo a fitness test, which was then deemed unnecessary by the team physiotherapist (who has been overseeing Tendulkars recovery).

BCCI announced a fitness Test, as usually happens before a team is to be selected if someone is returning from injury. Since this test was subsequently deemed to be unnecessary by the person who is responsible for conducting the test (John Gloster), BCCI reported that the test was not necessary and hence wouldnt take place.

Surely, an agency like BCCI is allowed to change its mind. It hasnt done anything more than that.

People get touchy because youre paranoid.

But i agree - Sachin is scheming evil....

I am pretty sure Sachin is senior to Kunble in both tests and ODI's.

89 Pakistan tour was Sachin's first, think 91 was Kumble's.

England 1990 was Kumbles debut tour.
Pakistan 1989-90 was Tendulkars.

Kiran More clarifies:

"John Gloster gave us the full report of his fitness. He was with Sachin for three days and he is absolutely satisfied with his condition. Tendulkar played five matches in England [for Lashings] and also bowled a few overs in these matches, which proved that he is fit. There is still one month to go for the Sri Lanka series and there is also the camp before that in Bangalore. So he has time and that is why we thought a fitness test was not required for him.

Dinesh Mongia is a good selection i think

Interesting contradiction from Kiran More. "There is still one more month and he still has time". What is the need for another month if he is already fit ?

Let us hope they have not rushed him in early due to other pressures.

Would be interesting to see how this plays out and how many matches Sachin will end up playing.

Kiran More said that to explain the fitness Test. He also mentioned the fitness camp in that line which youve conveniently deleted. Theres no contradiction in what More said.

By the way Josh..... i dont think you should go around posting stories from the Mumbai Mirror anymore - that newspaper is probably going to get sued to hell and back after posting the picture of a couple from Chennai and passing them off as Mr and Mrs Miandad.

These are the scruples and standards of a newspaper which you claim asks "tough questions" (In my opinions, they ask neither questions, and nor is anything they ask tough - its all merely stupid slander).
