And what's wrong with that? I also enjoy cricket. You are very welcoming, aren't you?

Thank you County Player. If this April showers continuum would allow I am sure we are in for a treat of a second-half cricket summer - I can't wait for the England vs India series to begin. Will try to make it one day for the Lords' Test. Do you get a chance to attend any international matches during the County season?

You must have played against some very good players -- You probably are one yourself. Who was the toughest opponent?

Looking good in that lava lava NL, pity about those hairy legs. Need assistance with some hot wax? Smile

The toughest opponent is a hard call NL because names which don't first spring to mind have been among the hardest to bat against. I recall Martin Bicknell being just about unplayable when i was up against him on a green top and i remember being well and truly sorted out by a Glamorgan opening attack which few would rate much on paper. Of the big names Murali, Warney and Shoaib have to be up there as the best bowlers i've been against. I also faced Allan Donald in the nets once and he was fierce.

I'm over 60 now, county player, but in my younger days I faced quite a few international players and I agree that often it is the dark horse that causes the most problems.

I remember bowling Rohan Knahai and not giving it another thought, but I got hammered by a few lesser lights that I thought I could tackle.

Did you play first class cricket in India?

India? My goodness gracious, no. I played Provincial cricket in New Zealand before I moved to England, and then played some minor county stuff here though I was getting on a bit by that stage.
