Brett Lee has done pretty well with the bat in the past couple of years, but I'm not sure he's a number seven batsman. The all rounder at seven makes sense to me, if Watson is given a go. But will the selectors prepare to gamble with a basic team structure?
I doubt it.

Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to market Brett Lee as a full on allrounder however at the same time the guy averages a fraction under 28 in Test cricket in Australia and IMO I don't think he would dissappoint Australia if moved up the order one or two spots. Shane Watson needs to average more than what Lee does at Test level IMO to first of all deserve to be referred to as an allrounder and then ofcourse to justify his spot in the team.
