He is a wicket taker, of which England have very few (Flintoff is the other), so I think its time England bring him back and try and take early wickets in the WC against the opposition rather than just have bowlers who you just hope will go come through their 10 overs unscatehed, with very little chance of actually taking wickets.

He's also another one of those fools who thinks that the Ashes is the only cricketing contest which matters.

Hoggy? Not so! He tore up the Saffos in their back yard. Hoggy's the business!

He hates one day cricket.

The only reason why he hasn't officially retired himself from one day cricket is because he's got more bottle than Harmison.

But that's not the same as saying he thinks Ashes cricket is all that matters. Hoggy's our workhorse. He tries and tries and never gives up, anywhere in the world. If we could put his heart in Harmi's body we'd have our best bowler since Trueman!

Tell me one person that does not one to play any form of the game he gets offered. Look at Hayden, he has been dying to get back into the ODI scene.

They keep bringing him back, he keeps getting pasted. For such a fine bowler, he's worryingly hittable in the one day jamboree.

He is a good, decent bowler. Not such a "fine" bowler who can't get hit

Warne retired from ODIs years ago.
