It has been officially announced.

I have little idea of Lawson's credentials. Perhaps our Aussie forummers can shed light to whether this will be fruitful for Pakistan.

I think Whatmore certainley would have improved Pakistan's ODI side.

Another easy fall guy to get rid of when Paksters fail again.

I know little about cricket but I was surprised to see this because, as far as I was aware, he is a journalist and commentator, not a coach.

Or like the balls that have been in the Pakistani bowlers hands.

Geof Lawson , was a very good effective and hard working fast bowler in 80's. He certainly was the best among the lot. Lawson visited Pakistan in 80's . Though australia lost that series 3-0, his performance on dead Pakistan wickets was extraordinary and that was because of hardwork. Lawson had a mastery over seam and swing bowling. He proved himself in sub continent where even great Lilee was unable to perform.

Lawson, is a far better choice. I hope that it will be a honeymoon for the Pakistani fast bowlers to play under his guidance.

Pakistan primarily is a bowling side with a batting line up that hardly scores 250-300 runs in an innings. However these days Pakistani bowling is not performing up to the mark.I think that Lawson will influence them to perform in the best possible manner.

Too cheesy for me. I don't think he'll be a success there.

Well, let's hope he can stop the Paksters from ball-tampering, drug-taking and throwing hissy fits. If he can, they might even win a few games.

Lawson's bowling improved after the year that Immy played for the Dubbers in the shield.

I've prepared for the worst case scenario ...but it could be even worse than that

I guess you are english team fan whose team carry sweets to help swing the ball, and play childish prank on opposition batsmen to distract him in hope to get his wicket.

Try learning and playing some cricket so that in a few years time- when you are still no doubt rabbitting on- you actually make some sense.
For now youre a typical keyboard cricketer.

Well, he and/or the management staff have taken steps to stop Shoaib hitting Asif. It's a start.

Yes, that Norfolk guy looks like a bully. Especially saying things about Pakistan like that. We are not cheats like he says in his post above.

Thank you filosofee for supporting Pakistan.
