Cant see England beating NZ in odi's either. They must be relieved to finally be playing a team other than Australia, though. New Zealand could revert to the tried and trusted opening combination of Astle and Fleming. England- Vaughan(c) Strauss Bell Joyce Collingwood Flintoff Dalrymple Nixon+ Lewis Panesar Anderson New Zealand- Fleming(c) Astle Taylor Fulton McMillan McCullum+ Vettori Franklin Bond Gillespie Patel
New Zealand needs another batsmen. No all-rounders in the side hurts them a lot, so if they play an extra batsmen, they will have to get 10 overs out of Astle and McMillan.
Greatest Test XI: Hobbs, Hutton, Bradman (c), Ponting, Tendulkar, Sobers, Gilchrist (wk), Hadlee, Muralitharan, Barnes, McGrath Greatest ODI XI: Jayasuriya, Gilchrist (wk), Ponting, Richards (c), Tendulkar, Hussey, Klusener, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Muralitharan, Garner
If that turns out to be the case, then i'll guess that Franklin would be dropped for Marshall of the Hamish variety.
Did anyone see Nixon keeping up to the stumps on Friday night?
I thought he had part of his gloves in front or level with the stumps (which is a no ball) . Anyone else see that?

Still, it's not like we want him dropped.
Where's Oram? He was a quality player.

McCullum out once again to a soft dismissal. Too impatient at the top. Not every ball has to go for four son. Wish he would get a decent score, but maybe he is better suited to the No.7 position.

I wonder why Nine are even bothering to telecast this match.
Maybe they realise that there is actually other nations out there that play cricket (or a form of it anyway).

Fleming comes back from a three match 'rest' to make 0 , 29 and 12.... I say its time the Kiwis stripped him of the captaincy and made Vettori...their only player of international class....the captain ------------------------------------------------ A nonsencical test series followed by an even more one sided JAMODI series
Flintoff to Astle, no run, 88.9mph and it raps Astle's on the pad like a gangster rapper with gold bling dangling from his neck
love it
Batting order is too short. We have managed to attain scores through a long line of mediocrity. Now we have a short line.
Some wag just shouted 'boooorrrrriiiiing!'. I'm inclined to agree with him. Stoopid NZZZZZZzzz.
Therapy? made my ears hurt
I like your heading, greedy bank LOL !!!!!
Looks like the Poms are gonna break their duck. It has been 35,036 hours since England won a cricket match of any kind in Australia.

Will you change your signature if England win, or do you still not class Tasmania as part of Aus?

tres crap. I would be inclined to open with Astle and Fleming as that's the only partnership that I remember half working. Having Vettori at 7 is too high. With Stris, Oram, and Mills back, we will have the batting depth to which we are accustomed. But these are poor displays.
Vaughany limping, so he lasts one and a half international matches,,,
