Only by this stern attitude will he be brought to heel.
They should have tried this with that Sadman Hussein one.

might have been better if they had allowed that guy who tried to carry out a citizens arrest a few years ago to actualy do it, instead of letting the british police and mugabe's goons beat him up instead.

hmmmm, i'm not entirely sure about that, he wasnt exactly a hero whilst an mp and since on balence he might have done more harm than good with some of the stunts he's pulled in the name of gay rights, however stong his beliefs i'm afraid that alienating the straight majority isnt going to help.

if i remember rightly he was a labour mp for some "right on" london borough during the time of the glc, when you couldnt get a council job unless you were a one legged guatamalan lesbian single mother in some areas. Wink

He was endorsed by his local party as the Labour candidate for the Bermondsey by-election in 1983, notwithstanding the objections of the (then) leader, the elegantly coiffured Michael Foot.

The ensuing election became a by-word in xenophobia, homophobia and direct violence, in which Tatchell's sexuality was thrust to the fore by campaigners for rival parties, on the back of which Mr Simon Hughes of the Liberals rode to victory.

Ironic, when the same Mr Hughes revealed his own bisexuality a couple of years back.

He stood in Bermondsey about 25 years ago,
never got elected, A seat Labour had held for ever, Simon Hughes got in, and has held it ever since.

OK then BDO! I can see you are more than a match for me. They should send George out to see Bobby M.

Mugabe is so up himself he probably won't give a damn, he thinks he's untouchable so will probably award himself another gong to make up for it

he got it so wrong, he never worked out that Bermondsey was not and will never be ready
for his style of politics,
Poor Bob Mellish the previuos Labour MP was shunted sideways to make way for Tatchell.
The locals have never forgiven the Labour Party.

Interestingly, in June 2007, Mugabe became the first international leader to be stripped of an honorary degree by a British university, when the University of Edinburgh withdrew a degree awarded to him in 1984.

Not to be outdone, on 12 June 2008, the University of Massachusetts Board of Trustees voted to revoke a law degree awarded to the delightful chap in 1986.

I bet he feels really silly now.
