In the early days I used to worry
Would my postings cause a flurry?

I'm now less tense, but without a doubt

morning all, i up but not dressed
i do not feel at all refreshed
as i slept most of the day
to try and keep my cold at bay

so last night
try as i might
no sleep would come
i knew what i'd done!

now son if feeling off it
the poor little poppet
i have to send him though
his sick record does show

he has stayed off...temperature is high,
and is in bed i confess with a sigh
i just can't send him feeling ill
i'll keep him home and give him a pill

It is not nice, feeling ill
I hope he's helped by your pill.

I sometimes think the Authorities
Think kids should never have sick days.

its rhyming time we still feel ill

perhaps a picnic, in the garden too

i'll cook on camp stove
and use garlic alot
a handy little clove
when a cold you have got

grilled chicken in garlic oil
toast some veg and we will spoil
crunchy peppers with garlic twinge
and the edges bbq singe

do same with potatoes and carrots too
as winter is the only time for stew
grill them all up and dine alfresco
is there any better life to know?

fresh air and sun shining bright
we will feel better by tonight
im getting hungry, i'd better stop
i've still got to go to the shop

i need a bath
but i'm having a laugh
chatting to nony
in elmo's cafe

she is a loon
that makes me smile
she acts like a goon
all the while

we have all been fed
with peppers that are red
brocoli, green beans, anything we found
(we even dropped some on the ground)

dusted it off and threw it back on
cooked until germs are gone
you have to eat an ounce of dirt they say
i think i had my lives worth today
