when it sprang a leak
I did have to seek
a plumber and his mate

they did a good job too

but tiles were broken
my prized antique token

which was my tiled floor
which is antique no more
and cannot really replace
same tiles in floor space

they were one offs you see
chosen by little ole me
no one tile was the same
only in the antique game

even with the insurance
will be no reassurance
they were mine and unique
and you cant replace antique!

your liquid brown eyes
that tell no lazy lies
I drown in their sorrow
as theres no tomorrow

your eyelashes so long
on you they look so wrong
jet black, long and curly
even this time, so early!

our eyes stare and lock
but of course I wont mock
I know what a temper you have
so I have to have a bit of sav!

I stood routed to the ground
as you slowly turned round
and kicked up to a swell
at the sound of the bell

and I ran like merry hell
at the sound of the bell
as you charged towards me
over that fence I did flee!

ooh and how I ran how
from the big brown cow!

little sheep come here please
let me check your coat for fleas
coz I want to shear your wool off
and make a coat of fine cloth

A jumper it may be called
or a shammy it its maulled!

Hello all rhymers and bagel queen
thought i'd pop my head in and check out the rhyming scene
it's fun to rhyme
it doesn't take time
i'm watching deal or no deal
i'm screaming at the tele
you should have stuck to your guns
and not dealt so early
i think you missed out and lost a lot of dosh
i would have been gutted i could only say gosh

Oh Bagel, your Cow tale did bring,
memories of when my life was in spring.....

Waved goodbye to my mum at the stable door,
walked down the drive, off to school once more.

Sound of gravel under my feet...
those big brown eyes I was shocked to meet.

A low moo-ing broke the silence, I
was gone within the blink of her eye!!!!!!

My mum laughed as I ran to her,
I am a chicken she did infer!!!

as a child I went hop picking
and had all the cattle licking
my face and all over my hair
it was great and I did not care!

when we went home end of season
I did care then...for a reason!
I caught impetigo very bad
ooh it did make me so sad!

I loved the farms in Kent
and the chalets at low rent
when older Leysdown for me
with the beach and park trees
learning about birds and bees!

and caught the train back from Paris

Ah bagel - with you I sympathise
I've got an ankle the size of my thighs!!

In seafood restaurant last night, there's me
desperately in need of a wee.

Daughter says "when you come out, mind the step"
"Course I will", says I, and yet

I come bounding out without a thought
of the two inch drop, I really ought

to have crashed into the sink and bashed me teeth
so the God's were on my side at least.

I hobbled back onto restaurant floor
how the family did laugh and roar

at me hobbling and limping my way back to the table
Ha, if I tried it now, I wouldn't be able...

ankle has swollen, it's such a sight
there's a bruise, black as night.

But, did this spoil my hol in France
Nah, course it didn't, not a chance

We had a laught, we had a riot
now I'm looking forward to some peace and quiet

must tell you before I leave
about a thread early eve
it was about religion you see
a wrong one for catholic ole me

heva lou was opening poster
ooh she opened a right toaster
(I luv u really heva lou..I do!)

at one point there was garage joe
and heva lou both having a go
me and zero defects joined in
ooh there was such a loud din!

at one point we was all screaming
our opinons posted and steaming
capital leters were hastily typed
to put our points so much hyped!

just as we were all in full flow
mods must have said "cut! go go go"!

so thats why you cant see the thread
coz mods bleeding cut it dead!

No things dont change much
we all have our own touch!
I dont say too much of some
coz they panic and run

out for most of day
bathroom in the way
got to find new tiles
will have to go miles!

no shops where I am here
but maidstone is quaint dear
lots of antique shops you see
may find tiles there for me

well what a waste of a day!
got no tiles by the way!
went everywhere I could
and I thought that I would
find some tiles I would like
but nothing! so took a hike

you anything at all like me?
and have to like what you see?
it could take me years and years
and lots of sulks and lots of tears

I am the same with shoes you know
If I see a pair I like I have to go
and buy them now! before they get lost
