I have a friend who uses text speak. The added problem is that she uses it in a variety of languages - English, Irish, German and French and with her own text speak twist. Sometimes I just give up and just delete. Frown

i miss capitals and most punctuation....im very lazyBig Grin

I don't think it has ruined the English language, it has its uses but shouldn't be used as a substitute for correct spelling / punctuation / grammar etc.

I'm more offended by the 'Grocer's Apostrophe' Big Grin

I have just came back from Turkey, and I was talking to the guy on reception, he is going to teach english to children after he has passed his exams.
He kept apologising for his well spoken english , which I assured him, was more accurately spoken by him than it was over here.

I taught him loads (more) of swear words so, if he ever came to the uk, he was a, prepared and b, understood it Wink
