Yes I have, just the other day. I told them that they had just lost a big courtcas and, although they are going to appeal, I pleaded to their better nature and got it back. I only have £60 a week and the charges + maintenance ( Confused) came to £66, so I had to do something. Big Grin

i was in a big que in the bank and over heard a lady complaining that they keep charging her(dont know what for)
the lady behind the counter was taking her complaint very personal
someone in the que said she not blamin you love
the lady got a strop on and said well fair trading have got no chance of getting a penny of us and marched off Confused

Not all of it no but you be surprised how much you can get back by being obstinate and persistent. I got £60 back from an £80 charge on one account last year.

i recently found out i was paying twelve pounds a month for a gold advantage account

didnt even no what it was for six years i was paying this, it didnt give me anything different

If I default on my account I expect to pay charges...if I dont default I wont get charged, its the bliddy mobile phone companies you want to be looking at, they are a nightmare!

So if your overdrawn its ok for the bank to charge you £25.00 for a letter and £6.00 yes £6.00 for everyday your overdrawn Confused

my OH got £1,500 back - you have to file a claim at the court to actually get them to take notice but it was worth it Smile
