I have been dead busy too, I am getting ready to move house, so may have to disappear for a while whilst the internet gets transferred. We are due to leave a week on wednesday, so have loads to organise.

Forgotten what I had written now, tried everything, Firefox & IE, non any good, even quick posts failed.
But it kept saying errors on page, so there must have been a bug in the pages.

Don't know what is going on with this site, seems strange because, last night, for the 1st time ages I was able to post using the normal post instead of the quick post.

Has your lad any idea when he intends to go out to Aus? There is a programme on BBC1 each morning at 9.15am who send intended immigrants out to Aus to try it for a week, some still want to go, and the same amount don't, when they see, in general, how poor the wages are compared to here.

Time to catch up with all those jobs I am behind with after the weekend....

My Lad will Fly out next Monday morning 28th, he has his job & wages sorted anyway.
A rep from the Company will meet him at the airport so he should be ok.

Loved American Idol, so funny watching some of the singers.

But so many to choose from, you always end up with someone good.
Defo worth watching anyway.

Haven't seen this weeks Ice dancing yet, have it recorded ready, it's just getting the time.

that's not long now.

He is well sorted then, that is the best way to go..... wages and job all sorted beforehand. Many (including us!) get a shock when they get there, and they find the wages are on general awful compared to here.

Bet the rest of the family will be upset to see him go. How long do you think he will stay there for ? Do you and/or OH hope to pay him a visit at all ?

You are right..... we don't have long before we have to move. I have so much to do, I don't want to think about it .

It is frustrating Hermia, losing posts etc.

Hi Mollie.
That was the first thing my Lad sorted, the money side, and it's 2.5 Ausy to the pound.
But they offered him what he wanted, so he went on from there.

He has a 4yr Visa, but will have to see how he likes it, have a feeling he will.
We could always go out and see him, don't think it would be a problem anyway.

Trying to catch up with Hijack using the LUT, but even they are having problems with posting etc.

yes I think your lad will enjoy himself working there for a few years. I think it is a great life experience to live and work overseas.

I'm off to take Jnr to his Japanese lesson soon... will pop in pub for tea whilst we wait for him.

Well what a wet and miserable day it has been today.I hope that everyone is well.

Had a lucky escape this morning - it seems I forgot to put my handbrake on last night and my car had rolled into the road a little bit - luckily back wheel caught on kerb otherwise it could have been a lot worse.

Rain and snow here. Too wet for the snow to lie, but it is on the surrounding hills. Freezing tonight again, apparently.

Bloomin' stock market took another huge tumble. Looks like we're heading for a recession.
Took years to recover from the last one in 2000.
