Well to play Ice Hockey you need to be a very good skater, so he didn't need to learn much there, he must have half way to start.
Not sure about Suzanne, but can't imagine her skating at the start was anything like chris's standard.

But i'm never going to vote for Chris ahead of Suzanne am I?, to me she looked so lovely with her grace, but I wouldn't expect a feller to be graceful in the same way, I expected Chris to win because of all the females that I assumed would vote, but with the high scores that Suzanne got, I think that clinched it, I didn't think that Chris's performance really showed him at his best, it was probably his downfall doing the high wire stuff this week because he couldn't show off his skating skills the way he wanted to.

I think some of the stuff that they did was far in advance of pupils would have expected at this stage, I think it was only 3 months of skating so they all did very well really.

Hope everything goes well for you Oceania, just hope it's your turn for a bit of good luck.

Hicky Bionic Woman is a series of hour long episodes. It's just on ITV2, at 9pm on Tuesdays and then repeated at 10pm on Sundays.
I remember the original series with Lindsay Wagner back in the seventies.

The PCI card goes inside the computer (PCMCIA is only for laptops, I think), which is more efficient than USB.
I think you're right about Linux though, everything seems to be a problem to be solved.

I forgot you had a Desktop Puter, was thinking of a Lappy for some reason, don't know why.
That's why I was wondering how you would get the PCI card in the Lappy.

You've got a Network card fitted haven't you, why are you using a usb Modem then, I used to have the usb Modem but it limits the speed you can get as well, don't use usb if you can get the normal Network one.

I wouldn't like to guess who will win HOH, but as you say they would need to make a deal, or it would be an awful long task, they are a determined lot and would be there all night.

My Lad rang from his Lappy this morning, but his webcam didn't come on for some reason, he could see us but we couldn't see him, he has had it working because he has used it talking to some other people over here.
But don't know if was working on Skype or MSN.

I think it is great how your lad can keep in touch with your lappy. I suppose you will get these occasional hiccups with the communication, when it is coming from the other side of the world.

We'll have to see if he sorts his webcam out, but he's back on days now, so it makes the times more awkward.
And he needs to get the Modem/Router changed, they sent him the wrong one, it isn't wireless which he's not happy about, and he can't go to the shop yet with working days.

No idea when BB Aus starts, he wouldn't watch it anyway, but BB USA is on in 50 mins.

I did a nice dinner, Marinated Lamb Fillet of neck in Madras curry past, fried to seal then put in oven, boiled some baby spuds, sliced then put them in the oven with some goose grease, then made a madras curry sauce.
It turned out OK. Very Tasty.
Me and my other Lad had it.

That sounds like a nice supper Hicky. I'll have to go and get something to eat myself in a minute.
The wireless network card came Today, and it works, so i'm now on the internet on my new machine. Didn't even need to put in a driver. Only had to enter my security key and it was away.
Next problem is how to enable file sharing with my other computers. Something that's simple in Windows, but turns out to be devilishly difficult in Linux.
Why am i not surprised?

The stock market upturn is but a temporary respite, I'm afraid mollie.
Because it plunged down Yesterday, some speculators have taken the opportunity to buy low, which has caused stocks to rise a bit. However they will take their profits quickly, causing it to fall again, because everybody is still very jittery and can more tyroubles ahead.

That last bit should read "expecting more troubles ahead."

Yes guess in these troubled times , you could be right about the stock market. Good job you have a long, long time until retirment. We've been worried about where to store the deposit for our next house now. Can't trust the banks at the moment.

Lovely day here today, hope it has been where you are too. Doubt it will last for Easter though. I don't mind the cold at all though, so we are still going out even if it is cold.

Wow !! Natalie, what a girl, and what she did for that Matt. As he says, he owes her big time now. I think she will make someone a wonderful wife with dedication and determination for a man like she has shown. But I think she is too good for Matt imo.

I always thought she was strong, I have seen her training, but didn't realise just how strong she could prove to be. And how ironic that, unlike most of them in there, her detemination on this task had nothing at all to do with the monentary prize for herself.

I'd like to see, some competitive, but sweet natured women like that in our BB, but I don't hold out much hope going on our past female selection lately.

I had a feeling the women might do well on this task, shame Nat just lost out to James.
Nat is such a happy little soul, never moans, just gets on with the task in hand. So far, I think she is the one who deserves to win imo.

It looks like you'll have to go back on the forums to sort your file sharing out, a friend of mine tried to get me into Linux many years ago, but when he said it was a difficult OS I said, no thanks.

Nat is a lovely girl, but as you say Matt isn't the one, she has fallen for him in a big way, but the way Matt is acting seems somewhat strange to me, I wonder if he is Gay, not sure how anyone would be like that to Nat, strange.

As you say, she could win this, but think the lads will stick together to get the girls out.

The problem with Nat is, if she had won then the lads would have told her what to do and she wouldn't have got a word in.
(In fact Matt would have controlled her for the week.)

I seem to have sorted my problem out for now Hicky, but I've no faith that it won't all come crashing down.

In order to share files and printers etc with a Windows network you have to use a program called Samba. It doesn't have a nice graphical wizard to get it configured. Oh no. You have to edit the configuration file by hand.
I followed a tutorial to do this and ended up messing everything up because it was for an older version of the programme.

However after some tweaking and several restarts of all the machines, it seems to be working, fingers crossed.

Thing is Linux is based on Unix, as is Apple's OSX, and I've never had these problems with my little ibook laptop. It just works.
When you're using Linux, you can see that it works in a similar way to OSX, for many things, but Apple has obviously put the work in to make OSX a polished system, whereas Linux is something that has been developed by the users themselves.

I'm still having fun though.......just!

Think Linux is trial and error, don't see the point in it now, it was probably designed for when Windows had so many security problems but it is a lot better now, can't see Linux catching on except for enthusiasts.

you are right about what you said about Nat if she won. She would of been a puppet for Matt. Poor girl is so besotted with him, and doesn't he know it? She is a strong girl, so I hope this infatuations with him doesn't destroy her chances in the game.

I think James and Chelsia have really fallen for each other. Wonder if it will last? Did you see the couple from last year, when they came to help with a task. They are still together after meeting on BBUSA last year.
