LOL, I agree, but so many people say it. And the same is true in reverse, saying they hate certain nationalitites. Especially French, Germans and more recently Americans. Most people say the same about South Africans as well. I find it all a tad strange. But I think it's just the stereotypes of nations they like or dislike.

I must say I think the female Irish accent is extremely sexy though.

Sorry, but I am bemused why people claim to love or hate all in a particular group of people(one of my pet hates I suppose)

Irish people come in all shades of personalities, some good some bad, exactly the same as ANY other nationality. Some are likeable , some are most definitely not.
