Question on a different subject. Can any body save me digging around. If you make a family, forgetr to set their relationships and click accept-family. Is there a way to fix that in the game?

Intensive playing of this houshold has revealed that the new baby's father is one of the two guys mentioned earlier. I have now had to do some major rebuilding of her house 'cos their are now 6 people living there. Granny, Mum, 3 children and a baby, but it only had 3 beds, a couch and a crib!Lots of money trees have suddenly sprung up in the garden.Laugh

Found this little snippet. It might explain the difference here. Smile
Update: You can only get a baby by "try for baby", and you can only get
"Try for Baby" if you have 2 sims who want a baby

Yes. She already had 3 kids and the father of the new baby already has 3 kids. So I reckon that neither of them are too averse to having kids, but the other guy has no kids and I had sort of thought that there was no 'Try for a Baby' option when he was with others because their relationship wasn't high enough, but maybe it's because he has a greater aversion to babies than the fathers of all her other kids. Laugh

Not at all! Big Grin
I've got one guy that she's met, but their relationship's not high enough yet, 3 computer characters that I know are romantics and 4 or 5 of my own characters that she hasn't met yet, but she'll need plenty of that Elixir of Life if she's going to get through them all. Laugh

Laugh she sure will..

One of my sims had a breakdown...well alot of them have them...but she was family aspiration and her husband died and her bro got divorced so that drove her to the brink....anyway to cheer her up I put her in that mood lifter thing that you get from your aspiration reward points...but I forgot her mood has to be gold...she started losing all her mood points...wet herself...everything...it took me DAYS to get her back on track Big Grin I could have clicked out without saving...but it was to funny!!!

One ques though....you know the career reward points? Well how come, even if your sim is top of the career ladder, sometimes you can't claim the career reward?

Don't really know much about the career rewards. Do know that you have to reach a certain level in the career track before you can get them and I think (but am not sure) that the levels are not the same in each career track. Maybe you need a certain amount of other thing as well? Skills? Friends? etc.

Yeah...they're at the top of the career track...but now that I think of it..it's usually the women that don't get them...so I must check the performance level coz maybe it isn't high enough because she would have had time off having kids?

I'm sure you'd enjoy it Dobby. Most of us who do have it, love it.
The PC version has greater scope than the console versions (I understand)
It can be hilarious and it can be frustrating at times too, but it all goes to make it enjoyable.

The cover says for 7 years and upwards, so I see no age limit, but I would hesitate to give it to anyone that young. Smile

I have the PC version...it can be quite temperamental...but it's worth it. It is such a good game.

I have it 2 years now and I never tire of it. I spend a lot of time on here now which is the only reason I haven't played it much of late...but it really is a funny game...I'm still learning things about it.

Some times I think it's great for kids because behind it all there are lessons to be learned!!! (See Fluffy's child dilemma Laugh) But I really would think it's an adults game, especially given that it's soooo addictive!!!
