Game options to reduce the screen size, I think. When you open the thing, you hav the choiceof 2 screen sizes. The one with the smaller screen is less detailed, so uses less memory, so crashes less.
I now have a better PC, but SIMS doesn't work on Vista  I can open it and play but can't save anything Fortunately, I have SIMS Castaway on the PSP to keep me going Ary. -------------------------------------- ***Do not, I repeat Do NOT feed the Trolls! *** ***  All Hail the mighty hamsters! *** |

And yes, also switch off your background programmes like virus checker whilst playing... just make sure you are offline too, when switching off your virus protection.

I'll have to have another look. I tried game options before but it didn't do it, but maybe I have to click out and click back in. I never run anything while I'm playing Sims..for that very reason, it always rashes. Hi Aryldi..when I open it it goes automatically into the full screen. I had it reduced, but after I installed the Teen Pack it's gone to full screen and I can't remember how to get it back. That means I can't play any of the big families or anything coz it's too slow and will eventually crash. I'll have to have another look later. My Sims Uni is acting up. One of my Sims has graduated twice now but when it comes time to go back to the old neighbourhood she ends up back at uni again. She's stuck in educational limbo lol

phew!!!! I thought this thread was deleted there for a mo...BB hasn't even started and the forums are acting up already
 Jubes...I have one of my nannies beside the kids cot...she won't move!!! I've had to built the room around her and the cot...because it's 'in use' I can't move it...I've tried calling her..firing her everything but she stays put!!! No way!!! How did you start a fire in the bathroom?? Haa haa!!!! Templeton, you have to go completely out and back to the disk to change your screen resolution size, as you would have made your shortcut to whatever screen size you have...
Open the disk, and choose to play in the different screen size to what you have now (you have 2 choices, sims 1824 x something, or something else by 640). Pick the smaller size, see if it works, and if it does then make yourself a new shortcut. Good Luck. it's not on the p.c version. I used the boolprop cheat on mine and i put my toddlers hygene bar up so she doesn't need a bath but now there is green smoke coming out of the top of her head all the time lol.
The only way i can get rid of the glitch is to move them out but i can't be bothered as they live in a mansion and i took ages decorating it. |
