Hi Glitteremma - I always store all medicine in the cupboard. I don't know if this is the correct way but I have never put medicine in the fridge. I have two children so I never have to worry about how long to keep it for once opened, as I only ever buy a small bottle so it is used quite quickly! If you are worried I think you can buy sachets of Calpol but they are prob more expensive. The only childrens medicines I have are Calpol and Medidsed and I keep these both in the cupbopard. If you don't get a reply then you could ask your GP or HV?xx

I'm sure it would say if it should be refridgerated once opened! Mine's in the cupboard too. Just don't leave it in direct sunlight during the summer and it should be fine.

Oh, and the expiry date is on the label - I don't think it matters if it's opened or not on that one. (Again, I'm basing this on the assumption that they would say if it did.)

I think it can be stored at room temperature but not above 24 degrees. But I think with most medicines the best place is somewhere cool and dry, maybe not the fridge, but like most people are saying, in the cupboard away from little hands is great.

It is bests given at room temp. The best temp for anything to be consumed weather it is food, drink or medicines is at body temperature. The reason for this is that it is absorbed easier into the body, no extra energy needed to warm up or cool down whilst cunsuming.

I learnet this whilst pregnant with my second. I was pregnant in the summer second time around and got dehydrated. I was told to drink lots, but not from the fridge, and to keep bottled water at room temp, or let a glass of tap water stand for 10 mins before drinking it.
I just used to keep a filter jug in the kitchen and filled it up regularly.

So like I said before, in the cupboard is fine, it doesn't need to be chilled.

I am not sure what 6.3 shelf life means either.
Also 6.4 special precautions for storage.

It this something that has been cut and pasted... as that would explain it.
3 Years for the bottles, 2 Years for the sachets, and do not store above 25'c. Room temp is well below that, so like I mentioned before, in the cupboard should be fine.
