Hi, my dogs having puppies, but I don't know what to do with them as I don't think my dog will be a very good mum. She goes out every night and sniffs and humps every dog in site. I don't want her to do that when there are babies about as I want them to have a good doggy upbringing, do you reckon my dog will be a good mum?

My cat is a real tart but when she has kittens she's a perfect mum until they all leave home and then she's out all night again (making more kittens!)

Get her spayed then, there are enough unwanted kittens in the world.

Well I've never had a problem finding good homes for my kittens. They are never unwanted. When I first got my cat, when she was a kitten, I had real problems trying to find a kitten because everyone seems to have their cats spayed these days so there are never any kittens around. If I ever did have problems finding homes for the kittens then I would have her spayed. When I was giving away the last lot of kittens I gave 2 to a friend of a friend who had been looking for some kittens for ages, and had been asked for £40 per kitten by someone! (I never ask for money) so clearly some people are making lots of money out of the lack of available kittens (which is probably why some people try to pressurise cat owners to spay their females)
