Three of my children had dummies and one seemed to be born sucking her thumb, while I think the thumb sucking looked better for a baby/toddler, she still does it at night and shes 18 years old, both my boys had the dummy purely for sleeping but my littlen had a dummy all day, every day and I had terrible trouble getting it off her, when she started Nursery, she only had it at night but she was 6 years old before I could take it away at night. When your a parent and listening to a baby crying, you will try anything, whether thats a thumb or a dummy to pacify and to me, thats better than listening to a baby crying Smile

I can`t stand those huge rocks in the shape of dummies, anymore than dummies themselves, I never had one, I sucked my two middle fingers Red Face

I was horrified that a friend of my littlens had a filling the other week and for the record my littlen who had a dummy till 6 years old, won`t need a brace, so all that it pushes the teeth out, isn`t strickly true Smile

Hubby got on brilliantly with my children but thanks to Hubbys ex Wife, his children hated me, unfortunately they weren`t brought up to have minds of their own, so when they got in their teens, they still hated me, their loss Smile

Not sure how his kids will feel am ten years younger than him LOL, hardly a point of authority haha Big Grin do you think ten years older is too old? He said it was a good age gap.

I had a step-Mum and always treated her with respect and did expect the same from Hubbys children but it wasnt to be, so never mind Frown Theres 8 years between Hubby and I but hes older, I don`t think age matters now, its happiness that matters Smile

Ooh thats cool, so there is hope Big Grin haha look at me after a week all mushy.

Oh I never lived with my step mum, she to me was just the reason why my dad lived in another country and resented her for that.
Later I appreciated her.

so you never know Wink
