hi, i have a 9 yr old daughter and am a single parent, unfortunately we dont seem to get on very well. She is asking a lot about her dad and seems very angry with me because he is not around (he left when she was 3 mths old so she does not remember him). Everything seems to be an arguement, she wont do as i ask her and then things turn into a fight. When i ask her to talk she just doesnt want to know and will respond by shouting. Everything is a chore and hassle im slowly but surely getting bogged down by it all, so supernanny i watch all your programmes and have picked up some tips but could you help me some more with an older child???

sounds like someone is putting ideas in her mind, for her to start asking questions, have you told her daddy left when she was a baby ??shes at that funny age difficult age just keep on asking her what the problem is easy said then done i know or perhaps a member of your family that she close to might be able to get to open up good luck
