My daughter is nine due to living arrangements and no money we have had to share a bed from when she was five. When she has stayed at friends I have had to go and get her at midnight as she cannot sleep I really don'y know what to do. Any Advise Red Face

i would say either don't let her stay out or get one of the blow up beds and let her sleep on that , i think the problem is she has gotten so used to sleeping with you she can't sleep without you now.
i don't think the blow up beds are that expensive so i think you should maybe try that.

I slept with my mum till I was 13, I was just the same I didnt even bother to even try to sleep at a friends. But suddenly once I became a teenager it all changed. It didnt do me any harm, so I wouldnt worry too much.

Me and my sister both slept with our mum until we were about 13/14 also then moved into our own beds comfortably and feeling secure and safe, so I don't think you should discourage your daughter from sleeping with you, and perhaps you should try and discuss with your daughter (if you havn't already) a solution to her being picked up from her friends house so late at night.I think the best solutions come from loving disscusions with your child, so maybe gently helping her come to terms with the fact that she can't stay over night until she feels secure enough to sleep without you. Best of luck! Smile
