Re Claire Verity...has anyone seen the Times?? Surely Channel 4 should have checked this out before hand....the whole thing is a sorry mess and if I were the parents of those under her care I would bloody sue them!!
Found it! Thanks Karen - I agree with you - that's like having a non-corgi registered gas fitter sorting out your heating (you know what I mean!) - that is a serious mis-representation of herself and her qualifications in such a very delicate industry. If anyone else had fabricated wualifications like that in any other childcare profession they would be out on their ear straight away. I note she has enrollled on some courses - I don;t think she should have been allowed given all this do you?
Hi Lou....I doubt she will ever get work again after this complete mess! So she is enrolling in some courses is she?....big deal!! Who in their right mind would let her anywhere near their baby? Channel 4/production company should sue her for gross misrepresentation....it makes me so mad!!!
I am not surprised at all. And I feel vindicated in my compliants about her completely! Whilst qualifications are not the be all and end all, lying about having them is a serious issue.
Think of the people who have paid for her "ecxpertise" and the babies she has traumatised in that time? I hope the NSPCC prosecutes her for cruelty and she never works with babies/children again.

Attachment Parenting; the radical notion that babies and children are people too!!
Hi CM!! I agree with you that lack of qualifications is not the issue - it is the fact that she lied about them and I too hope she never works with children again. Quite frankly, the whole thing is a disgrace.
She should be made to apologise publicly, especially to the families that she was so called 'mentoring'!
If a nanny faking her qualifications was not checked prior to working in a nursery/for an agency, there would be an absolute outcry. If anything this is worse as she is doling out advice to potentially thousands of people on one of the main TV stations in the country. Didn't TV channels learn anything after Gilliam McKeith and her rather loose use of the term 'Dr'? I wonder if she was even CRB checked?
At least if I'm ever sacked I can make up a few qualifications and apply for a job at channel 4 safe in the knowledge they ain't going to be checked.
At last the forums are working, halellulia! I dont know where to start with that CV woman, gosh she is dreadful, what I can't understand is how a woman who has never had a child can give such advice! I just wander whether she would like to be left out in the cold, given very little contact and generally ignored (I think not). I would never have allowed my child to be subjected to her.
