Do you think this would upset a 2-year-old? I'm not sure whether to take him or not. What do you think?
Hi there, I took my son to see Who Framed Roger Rabbit and he was really upset when the little "Toon" shoe was dropped in the barrel of goo and "killed", he cried hysterically and I had to comfort him for ages. I am sure a 2 y.o. would be upset, if he understands death and hurt. Maybe when he's older and you can explain things better to him?

Thanks for your replies, I did take him to see the film and he enjoyed it and didn't get upset, but he did get a bit bored half way through and started wandering around. He was fascinated by the fact that each row of seats had a letter of the alphabet in green lights. When he found the letter G he shouted "G for Granny!" and ran over and tried to pull my mum by the hand to show her. Luckily it was the afternoon showing and the cinema was almost empty.
After the film I asked him some questions to see how much he'd understood. I asked him what the penguins were doing and he said playing in the snow. When I asked him what came out of the penguin's egg he said a caterpillar! Well I have read him the very hungry caterpillar about a million times so that's probably where he got the idea.

I bought Two Brothers for my 3 year old who was only 2 at the time I bought it. I decided to watch it when she was asleep first just to make sure it was suitable as she adores big cats. I am VERY glad I watched it first as I was horrified by the whole film she would have cried her heart out through the entire film. I took the film straight back to Woolworths, shouted at them for daring to have such a disgusting film in the kids section then swapped it for a Fimbles dvd instead! Definitely a good idea to watch films you're unsure of before you let little ones see them

But penguins are much more exciting when they're 8 foot tall.
