I am still shocked that this woman has not been taken out of this industry! Her method's are cold and heartless and if people follow her, they clearly only want a baby because that seems like the in thing to do. Your life is MEANT to change, your priorities should not be partying and drinking and sex, they should be caring for your new born and giving that baby a special start to it's very special life!!! As far as the lady mentor from the contiuum concept, giving knives to little ones and having sex in the bed with a baby is primitive. That is exactly where those theories belong... in the primitive past....move on lady we're all grown from stone ages. I think the Dr Spock theory is the best, albeit a little more routine would help.

Yes, and look what's happened since we "moved on from the stone age" not a whole lot of good it would seem.
Really, before you make blasé comments such as that, you should actually read all the books that the mentors have used for their methods.

One does not need to read all their books to have an opinion from a TV show that CLEARLY shows their methods in great detail. But thanks for your comments dearest. Perhaps you should read a few books on the primitive era and you shall see that it does not work in our society. But neither does Claire Verity's methods, unless you're a celebrity, that doesn't have the time of day for a new born baby!

I suppose it will shock you to learn that I'm the mother of two extremely confident, well rounded and bright teenagers who were brought up in a terribly stone age manner. I've never missed out on my social life in any way, shape or form, not lost a night's sleep, never left them crying anywhere, not had to organise when to feed them (as babies).
I'm not planning any more children but, if I did, I'd be following the Continuum method once again. The odd thing is, I never read it until a few months after I had my oldest, I was already following my instincts. How VERY BIZARRE, that's how far you get by not reading baby books I suppose.
I've read many since they've grown up as I'm interested in various ideas surrounding childcare and baffled that you'd want to look up page 43 when baby cries at 5 weeks old and what it means.

It doesn't shock me, I don't have an opinion of you. I do have an opinion of the show and I'm still not sure why you had to call my comments blasé when you don't even know me. I don't feel I need to justify myself to you by telling you all about all my children and my readings.

Way to go to get a thread locked. You stated an opinion, I responded with an opinion, you then deigned to call me 'dearest' so I'd assume you do have some opinion of me or my choices and I informed you (and other readers of them).
Maybe the word blasé was used in a wrong context so apologies for that. I don't believe that you can gain all the facts from a 4 part tv show which is why I suggested you have a look at the books to get the underlying context from what each mentor was portraying on the show.

I think I'll excuse myself from this one. Not interested in having an argument with you. Life is too short. Cheers
