Does anyone else have the surname WAKELAM? This is my surname and I would be very interested to hear from anyone with it. It's not a common one and The only people I've heard of with it are my own relations. Also a writer called Steven Wakelam, but I don't think he's related. please get in touch...

She was from the Weston super Mare area in Somerset I think

Thanks for replying Mandles. I believe my dads great or even great-great grandparents were originally from Staffordshire and moved to Yorkshire to work in the coal industry. This led to my grandad being a miner, my dad was a miner and so were three of his brothers.
