I have been trying for a baby for nearly a year with no luck , my period is due in 2 days and all I can think about is doing a test!

I have a 5 year old and with him I knew straight away because I felt very sick and tender. I feel much the same now but after 10 months of negative results I am afriad to think I may be pregnant Smile

Please stop me from buying a test too early and wasting money Red Face

i know this may not help - but try not to get too down - or uptight - wait out the next 2, maybe 3 days and see what gives. i am keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out for you

isnt there a test thats meant to be able to tell before your missed period? or am i a being a gullible man that believes all the adverts?! Big Grin

This waiting is such a pain! I havent even told my hubby incase I am not pregnant , Thats why I had to post on here instead Smile

I had my mate over for a drink last night and she kept asking why I wasnt downing the wine as usual and everytime she offered me a fag I nearly threw up over her . She may be a wee bit suspicious Ninja

does the thought of smoking or drinking make you feel ill? or are you just being careful? Im just asking cos when I was pregnant I couldnt bear cigarette smoke or alcohol. could be a sign...... Big Grin

In reality the odds of getting knocked up are quite slim , even if you do all the right things you need a lot of luck too Smile

hi ive only posted on this forum a couple of times.

i just wanted to say that i have 3 children now but its taken me nine years to complete my family with miscarriages etc.but after my last miscarriage i decided i didnt want anymore kids,so we stopped trying just had fun instead then i found out i was pregnant the same thing happened with my baby boy as soon as i stopped trying i was pregnant.

if you forget(difficult i know)about trying for a baby im sure it will happen for you its to do with stress i think so the doctors told me.

anyway best of luck i hope you get what you want Big Grin and anyway you can have fun trying Wink

Hi Jemma1.
I've been lucky with both my kids.
But I had a friend, who got herself so much worked up, about getting pregnant she just couldn't. She went on a holiday with her partner and forgot all about it. They have a little boy toddling about now.
So please don't get too worked up. You have one, you can do it again, just relax and don't forget to have fun.

I agree with the others. After trying to conceive for a year I went to the doctor and had some tests and was told that I had a malformed uterus and would need an operation before I could conceive. I was told I would have to wait a few months for the operation so I stopped worrying about getting pregnant, and guess what? 3 months later I was pregnant.

my friend has just got pregnant for the second time ( once again a boy Smile ) and both times there have been complicating , this little ones not even born yet and being a menace
