Hey im an 18 yr old lad, who works 9 - 5 and goes to college 6 - 9, i have a very busy schedule and im hardly home, when i am home, i make my own food, do my own ironing, and hardly get time to clean up after myself.
So my dad has a BIG go at me if i leave a little bit of crap around on the worktop or something, he is such an ass. Thought id get it off my chest, does any1 think hes out of order of am i supposed to leave the room without a trace of me being there?

I think it's a difficult one when you get to adulthood and are still living at home. I suppose it is his home and so he can have a big say in what goes on.

I would try not to take it personally. He's probably just fastidiuous and is doing it because he wants things tidy.

as you're away all the time he never has the pleasure of your company, so when you leave any mess it's less excusable.

move out. room mates have less expectations than parents.

Thats one busy schedule, you seem a well adjusted young man. As a mum of three, i would find it hard to find fault in you. In fact with the schedual you have i'de only be to happy to pick up a few bits and pieces after you.and i would also thank my lucky stars you'de turned out as you have. Why dont you sit down and have a chat with your dad. Not yelling or rowing but a heart to heart chat, might work wonders.
