Hi I was just wondering how common, or uncommon it is for a baby to suck their tongue. Well, that is how I would describe it. I can't think of any other way to describe it off hand.
if it's what i'm thinking of, my girl did it as she went to sleep when she was tiny and after a feed. i thought it was just the suck reflex being practiced. she stopped doing it when she got a little older.
**************************** Beware of the Loons!!! FAF #40
my baby does this all the time, hes 7 monthes old and has done it pretty much since he was born, he has just started teething and has started doing it worse, lol. i think its cute the noise it makes and the lil face they pull
My son will be 2 in feb and he does it when dropping off to sleep, I too think it's cute, but i'm wondering if people think it's weird. My Health Visitor asked me at his 8 month check if I was going to wean him off the dummy. He never had one. Lol, I explained that was just what he did, and she looked puzzled. I assume it is what he does for comfort. I do find it a little annoying if out and about and he is sleepy and people wonder what he is doing, but at the end of the day, it's none of their business.
