My mum and dad have recently started to argue every night. Last night I overheard them arguing about who was leaving and when they were going to tell us. They were saying that they are going to tell us once we are all settled back into school in September, as my little brother starts secondary school this year. They don't know that I know, I'm scared that they will get divorced, what should I do?

Hun I am so sorry to hear this, you must be so upset and scared.

I think you need to let your parents know you have heard this,
please don't keep it all bottled inside yourself I am sure that is not what your parents would want either.

this is a shame you had to over hear a conversation like that ,but some times things are said in the heat of the moment, but yes i would let them know u over heard there conversation,and that u are worried about them bless u and keep your chin up my hearts with you

i agree with the above, but also, if your parents argue alot, wouldn't you rather see them apart and happy, than together and unhappy and arguing? i really do feel for you, but the best thing you can do is be supportive in their decision and try to understand. i really do hope it was a heat of the moment one-off thing. if you need to chat, we're here for you hun

My parents have made the decesion to split up,
They say that it is for the best, and I think I agree. My dad is going to be moving out next week, it's going to be strange as I've never spent more than 2 days away from him in my life. Thankfully he is only moving a few miles away so I will be able to see him regularly. My parents say that they will not fight when they have to see each other.

Keep smiling, my father left my mother when I was 15 for another woman whilst working abroad and very hardly saw him, I know it's hard but you still have both of them and they both love you. You have your life even more of a reason to make something of it I did. Speak to friends and the nearest and dearest to you it does hurt I know, it's difficult even after 28 years I sometimes say mum and dad. At least you could go on the website that's the first move if any, take care and you will be fine believe in yourself (it's also difficult for your parents)
