I had pre-eclampsi (toximia) with my second child (which they say is rare) & they tried to get me to deliver naturally (induced of course). But he was a stubborn little beggar & after 29 hours & still no baby they decided to do a cesarian. My boy was delivered 4wks prem & under 4lbs. But if they hadn't things would have been worse.
i had my baby 2 weeks early and he was 6 lb 7 1/2 oz your baby was so tiny its really horrible having pre eclampsia. but i found the recovery from a section was the hardest. i am still really sore and its nearly been 8 weeks now. i found it well difficult not being able to go out much cos i live on the top floor of flats with no lift. i feel heaps better now but how long did it take u to recover fully? did you get swelling in your stretch marks? my tummy has quite alot. and they seem to get swollen still. and gosh dosent it hurt wen you cough or sneeze!!!!!!!!!
Mine is seven years old now & I still get a little pain every now & then - nothing major. They tell me it is quite common. I also lost a lot of blood & had other complications so was in hospital for a long time. My son actually went home with my other half while I was still in hospital.
Yeah me too mines nearly 9 I still get a twinge or 2 I think my ribs haven't knitted together properly as thet catch every so often does anyone else have this problem, i fought the c section all the way the ,3 days in labour she manged to entangle herself in umbilcal cord, I remember not being able to bend in the middle & coughing & sneezing ouch a few months it will get better, why on earth anyone would choose c section because they are a celeb is beyond me.
one of my older sisters has 4 children and has had this with her last 2. her daughter who is 7 was 3 weeks early and weighed 6lbs 1 and her son who is 3 was 5 weeks early and was 5lbs 7.
I developed pre-eclampsia and was induced. I had 3 separate inductions over 2 days, ended up exhausted and my son became distressed, his heartbeat was dipping and he stopped moving. I had no option but to go for an emergency caesarian. I had thought the c-section would be a cold and clinical proceedure, but have to say that I enjoyed it. The only problem I had was getting the needle into my back for the spinal block, which took an hour and a half and left my back looking a bit like a dartboard. Once the anasthetic was in and I was on the table I was kept informed of everything that was happening. I could feel my son being removed from my womb and heard his very loud, angry cries and within a few minutes he was on my husband's knee, just inches from my head where I was able to talk to him and kiss him. As soon as they closed up, which took just a few minutes I was in recovery with my baby in my arms, able to feed him and cuddle him.
I had very little pain with the section. Getting in and out of bed was difficult for about 5 days, but other than that the pain was negligable. I was walking about the next day and within 2 days of the operation I was at home enjoying time with my newborn. I found the whole experience quite beautiful. I have had no problems since and if I planned to have anymore children I wouldn't worry one bit about having another section. Its not the ideal way to give birth and given any sort of choice I would rather have had a natural, vaginal delivery, but when medical circumstances dictate it a caesarian really isn't that bad, or so I found.
