I agree to i get on so much better with my dad than my mum. As does my younger sister and my bro too... god sounds like we dont like mum here!! sorry BIG UP MUM!!! lol tv chick
I noticed that my girls were closer to their dad when little, they could twist him round their fingers, but my son was closer to me, its as though there is a built in thing for the man to protect his girls where as he must make the son strong enough to face the world and all that it throws at them. But when my girls got older into there late teens and when they married and become mothers themselves, it changed and they became closer to me and now my son is closer ot his dad. the girls still think the sun sets and rises with there dad but it's mum they turn to for help and advice and to tell there secrets to

i don't get on with either of my parents. well not anymore.
i hate my dad 'cuz he walked out on us 3 years ago. and i'm constantly picking fights with my mom. i don't even know why, but at every oppurtunity i'll b!tch at her and do everything i can to annoy her.
i used to be a right momma's girl though.

Nope. I'm a female only child. My mother is my best friend and I am now estranged from my father. He was always jealous of the relationship I had with my mother; I've never been a Daddy's girl.
Definitely a Daddy's girl. We have so much in common, we have the same personality traits - good and bad! Having said this my brother doesn't get on better with my mum or dad it's the same.
I love my Dad cos he's got a silly sense of humour like me, and he's a bit slower than my mum - like me! he's a good role model.
I'm definitely my father's daughter, in that I'm a lot like him, but I wouldn't say I'm any less close to my mum. Obviously we do all the girlie things. But I think my brother is probably closer to my mum. Certainly since I've been single I think my dad's been a lot more concerned about me being on my own and trying to involve me in stuff whereas my mum's no less concerned but happy to leave me to my own devices more.
Up to a certain age yes I agree. Now my son is older he seems to be moving away from me a bit (15 he is...) Daughter was always her dad but she is not getting on with either of us now.........
When I was younger I was definately closer to my Mum. (I'm female btw)
My Dad was always the one who disciplined us so I suppose I was a bit wary of him. He could shout for Britain lol.
Now I'm older I seem to be much closer to my Dad. We have similar interests and I find him easier to talk to. If I have a problem it's usually him I'll turn to.
