hi im becky i havent been on this particular forum before mainly because i never noticed it so hello everyone.

my problem is im debating wether or not to allow my daughter who is 9 to go over the shop on her own(im probably being overprotective)there is only two little roads for her to cross and she has amazing road sense (thank god)but im worried as the shops are on a main road and you dont know who to trust.

on one hand i know shes very grown up for her age and on the other i dont want her to get hurt but she needs some freedom.

her nan works at the shop but im still nervous what does anyone think?

tell her she can only go to the shop if she goes with a mate,thats what ive done with all 4 of my kids ,i no its hard to let them have their independance but they grow up so quickly these days,
