I personally found this method hard to take in. The most natural thing in the world is to hold and bond with your child. I just wonder how Claire Verity can advise mothers if she has never had children herself and does not understand the unique bond and relationship that exists between a mother and child. Her methods prevent what is a natural and loving process.
Why not take the baby for a nice long walk, instead of sticking it out in the cold for 4 hours, would Claire like it herself. I could not sit indoors with a nice cup of tea and watch my baby freeze.
I bottle feed my child as I am phyiscally unable to breastfeed, I was flabbergasted how they were stuffing this child full of milk and twisting the bottle round, I never do that with my daughter. I have my daughter against my chest in the crook of my arm when I am feeding so she can hear my heart and feel comfort. Bottle feeding need not be a clinical and emotionless process.
Having a child is a life changing process, nothing will be 'normal' again, your roles have changed, your a parent now first and foremost. If one does not like it then don't have children!
