Clare Verity is a fool to herself, she is unable to resist making personal and offensive comments about her clients, their friends and relations and her colleagues on bringing up baby. Adding “....no offence...” after each comment does not relieve her of responsibility for what she has just said. I’m as appalled by her methods as the majority and I wouldn’t let her within a million miles of my children but it seems that if until now she has received for the most part unreserved praise and support for her methods from her clients then it’s not surprising she stands by her methods. I’d like to see that long list of celebrity clients come out in her support now; I'll bet Clare is feeling very lonely today and she'll have a long wait.
Lets not forget that Clare wouldn't be in any position to practice her methods if there wasn't a demand for it. I’m every bit as horrified by the parents of the twins on the programme who sits in a restaurant swilling champagne and congratulating themselves for being there while their newborn babies are left to cry alone and in distress and Clare Verity leaves them to it with the comment – and I quote “I don’t care”. Shame on them all.
I Googled her name and the first thing that come up is this in the Daily Mail from 2005:
"Sophie and Edward 41, who made no secret about their wish to have another child have already started looking for a nanny for the new child.
Among them is Claire Verity, who has worked for stars including Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall, Sting and Dire Straits singer Mark Knopfler."
Ok, fine so her clients are or have been royalty (who never bother waking up to look after their own babies I gather because they have royal blood and you just don't change nappies or bf in the middle of the night when you are that high up ?) and some rock stars (too busy shagging to look after their own babies ?)
Sorry, but I am not impressed by her "celebrity" credentials.
I'm starting to feel sorry for her: how much of what we saw was the result of manipulative editing? Maybe some of these thoughless remarks were followed up by kindly action, but we only got to hear the sensational stuff?
I doubt it. I don't think that woman has one maternal bone in her body.
I thought what she said about the Grandmother who rang her daughter up in concern was disgusting. If anyone said things like that about my own mum in front of me they'd be straight out of my house.
