please can anybody give me any ideas how to potty train twins. My girls are 23months old and one of the girls tells me when she is going to do a number 2 and when she is wet. My other daughter seems not to be interested in it at all. I have bought 2 pottys and i have had them in the back garden with nothing on and the pottys out. My daughter who knows when she is due to do a number 2 keeps sitting on the potty for a bit and standind up saying no all gone. where my other daughter just crys and panicks then i end up putting her a nappy on because its like she is holding it in.

I am at home with the girls and i have a 8 year old who is at school and a husband at work. please help

Erm i would just hope that she copies her twin or put the potties in the bathroom and when they need to use it take them to the bathroom and either sit the twin whp panics on the toilet and see if she prefers that to a potty! hope that helped good luck!

Don't put any pressure on the need to be toilet trained, they are still babies....let the baby who is not ready to train, stay in nappies for a bit longer!

Absolutely agree. Look on the bright side -- with nappies, there's no constant eyeing up the next potential place to find a toilet!

However, to answer your plea, we waited till our 3 year old was 2 and three quarters before even starting. Then we gave him a star for every success, praise for trying but not making it in time, and a small toy after every 7 stars. After 4 weeks, he was getting a toy nearly every day, and were able to gradually start phasing the toys out (or face bankruptcy!)
